So I made a pro am team, looked into creating an arena and changing the uniform.. but backed out because it was going to take too much time.
5 minutes later I decided to go back into it but now its saying I have to reach amateur - silver to access this feature

Waiting ten seconds for the player to pull the trigger is a joke.
I had to jump in here after spending some time with the game and add my thoughts. As one who never plays "myplayer" anything, my experience lies solely with the 80 season mode, I might even play w/ MyGM this year. The gameplay has definitely improved, I went back to all star and eventually hall of fame mode because I'm finding it much easier to pass while still challenging defensively. I appreciate how rare dunks occur in game when there's coverage on you. The WNBA mode is masterfully done, you're doing a disservice if you avoid it. It's clear 2K threw the kitchen sink in this game, the face scans are better across the board, not perfect but better. For what it's worth, the core game has improved enough to where I'm putting in hours like back in the day. I look forward to the "NBA today" games when the season starts.

The CPU play is so fukkin underrated this year, they finally take contedted junpers off the dribble and it looks great, 96 MJ is bussin my ass from mid range

i tanked the two team workouts and got drafted to the clips, sry Don LukaClippers are lethal.
Their roster is unbalanced but PG, Kawhi, and Pat Bev lock everything down on the perimeter.
I played some games with the Suns and Ayton is a walking double double. 2k gave Booker a low 3pt rating which is too low IMO. But once he gets going from mid range he is hard to stop.
Rubio and Saric are better than I expected them to be and Mikal Bridges shot is easy to hit perfect release on. His defense is good as well.
