Brehs I am not kidding in the least. I just had to save two people from drowning right now.
Had a Boy Scouts camping trip this weekend by the river. Kids is out there in 2 feet of water. Two steps out, it drops off into nothingness. Well this other kid who came with his family, not us, starts screaming help. Floating down the river. Grandpa jumps in to save him, reaches him, boy is climbing all over grandpa and he starts to sink, 5 seconds at a time. Then 10. Then 15.
I strip and dive in. Tired by the time I get halfway. Dead tired by the time I pull the kid off gramps back. Now I got one arm. Kid is maybe 7 and light. But I got one fukking arm. Now WE drowning. Can’t touch the bottom. Can’t hold us both.
I got 3 feet and seen another guy and passed the kid to him. I turn to gramps. Brehs he is looking at me BEGGING me to save him but I have zero energy. I don’t think I’m gonna make it. I asked if he could float. He doesn’t understand English. He’s dipping again. I’m screaming to help him. Dudes in kayaks rushing to us and push him towards a big tree that’s overturned in the river downstream.
I barely get to where my feet touch before I’m finished. Reached out to dudes family cause apparently none of them could swim, so they got close as they could and pulled me in.
I collapsed in 3 feet of water. Laid on the bank for 20-30 mins before I could move.
man I swim EVERYWHERE. Ocean. Lake. Pool. Middle of ocean. We jumping off the boat.
If it wasn’t for 10-20 people being on the water, there would have been 3 drownings today. Papi, his grandson and me. And no way on gods earth I was even saving that boy by myself.
Do not fukking play with water brehs. At all. Ever. In an instant you could be beyond saving and all the strong swimmers in the world won’t help. Especially if you panicking and drowning the savior.
RIP Naya. It’s just that quick
