I assume she left that in the car because she was going swimming in a small boat and didn’t want it to drop in the lake. She didn’t plan to be out there more than two hours because that was how long she rented the boat.

The son said she jumped in, and never came back up. He’s 4, so he may have not remembered everything. She could have slipped, hit her head, and fallen into the water, but there aren’t any reports of blood on the boat.
