I'm curious to watch. I don't have a problem with them telling this story through cinema. In fact, I've been waiting for many years as I said up here before to see the Toussaint L'Overture story and even the Zumbi story from Brazil. Not cause they were killing whites, but becasue we already get plenty of Eurocentric versions of people trying to attain freedom from a certain era's tyranny, but rarely do we get a black perspective. Basically, I'm all for telling historical stories through cinema, but like you said if they try and make it look like a lampoon, then I cant' fuuck with that.
Fact of the matter there are a lot of historical stories that need to be told through cinema.
