Kingdom Come - wack
American Gangster - great album, but I wouldn't use any of them joints for Verzuz
Blueprint III - this was Jay-Z's "futuristic" album in 2009 :snoop: has to be one of the worst albums of the past 2 decades looking back
MCHG - didn't listen after the singles sorry
4:44 - tried harder, but still :flabbynsick: vibes

Jay has had ZERO anthems since the Black Album and even then 50 was way bigger. Blueprint 2 was wack too. What does that tell you? To say he has been hot after 2006 is insanity to me. Yeah everyone always wanted him for a feature, but I would argue this has really been off the strength of his older work. His albums of the past 15 years and especially the singles were :scust: I know if you were on here when them shyts dropped you feel the same.
BP3 had more anthems than Nas's century :umad:

What I'm saying is classics > hits.

Rare alone is better than every disposable Jay hit I mentioned in that post. :umad:

I'd like Family Feud more if Jay didn't come off like Beyonce has his nuts in a vase under their kitchen sink.

Ok no unreleased songs? Fine I'll play your game, LIG and KD I and II got Nas covered for the 10's and 20's. Only Jay album seeing those is 4:44, every thing else he's put out since AG has been a dub:smugdraper:

The only post Black Album songs that had any real staying power were "Run this Town" and "empire state of mind". nothing else is in the mainstream public consciousness.

Nas has zero songs in the last decade in the mainstream public consciousness.

He made a single with Fivio and Ferg and the shyt barely has 10M views.

No he flat out doesn’t it’s not even close Nas arguably doesn’t have 20 records for a Verzuz

We already went through this past Nas hypothetical Verzuz threads against Jay, Pac, LL after God’s Son era y’all start naming b-sides, unreleased songs, reach with features or failed hit record attempts only Nas stans give a fukk about

:heh:

how wouldn't he have 20 records? we've seen enough verzuz by now that anything goes

you don't think Jay would pull out a b-side, when he's literally had 2 b-side concerts?

He doesn’t have to do that..that’s the point.

It’s levels to both and Nas lacks the skill to make a hit. I don’t know how this is debatable

You in here saying Nas hasn't had a hit since 2002 to saying he has no hits.

And it takes NO skill as an artist to make a hit. An artist having a hit relies solely on enough people playing the song enough to make it a hit. Otherwise, it isn't a hit. And the reason why no skill is required is an artist can't just sit there and churn out a hit especially by themselves. Artists create songs. That is their skill. Whether or not those songs become hits relies on the consumer. It also relies on the A&R who often give artists' beats, shop and pitch singles to them, help pick the single.

Again, you prove how little musical knowledge you have because even writing the simplest story requires some level of skill.
