It was only officially released BECAUSE the hacker raised 10K and released it. Jay Elect was initially unhappy about it but after all the good buzz decided to throw it on Tidal for awhile.

The con to that is that it was CLEARLY not a finished album. Missing feature verses, low quality mastering, and one track was a straight up unfinished reference track.

Wow. :ohhh:

My thing is is if he's illegally obtaining this music and profiting off of it, he should or should have been handled. DJ Drama got raided for LEGALLY selling mixtapes.

I got the feeling they both throw shots at Jim Jones on this, especially if this was recorded around HHID, when they both was beefing with him...probably because of that this won't be released...

honestly tired of the old song snippet drops

either get permission to drop the whole song or just keep it to yourself

That's the thing with being a Nas fan. That whole Lost Tapes was songs that were cut from albums or newly recorded material that didn't have a home. Its some of his best work. These songs didn't pass the Nas litmus test for whatever reason, but if one of those dudes at Columbia never compiled that first Lost Tapes, we would have never heard some of those songs.
