I can understand not wanting Pharrell (who is a good producer but I can see his style not mixing with Nas) and Swizz, but why don't you want Rza? You really think he ain't gonna bring his A-Game working with Nas?
All three don't mesh with Nas at all

The snippet was fire

I should not be nervous for a fukking compilation vault album but they really be ready to kill my guy out here so hopefully this is cohesive

Im nervous for some of the tracks and how people will react but hope its all good
I’m in the same boat.

I should’ve known better than to expect The Scientist even though Just Blaze was posting about it being finished not even two months ago.

Whether it’s Just or other powers that be or external forces...I’m just going to assume anything with Just Blaze’s name attached is not going to be released.

It’s a fukking bummer to get your hopes up for one of your top 5 producers and have it never see the light of day basically Every. Single. Time.

It wasn’t even the fact that 9th remixed the album. It was all the big shyt he talked AFTERWARDS talking like he was the only one who could craft a good beat for Nas. Dude should’ve shut the hell
Up and been humble. Especially Since Gods Son is crazy from a production standpoint. Salaam and Alchemist laced him on that album

Yup
Even though beat in the clip was FIRE, in retrospect everything 9th did was embarssing and kinda disrespectful.
Lets be real: He made his name off remixing Nas. Y'all remember the internet was on fire for this "Nas remixed album that was done by this kid who sounds like Premier/Pete Rock" and that got people in part to check out the Listening. And he started that dialogue about his beats

Then he makes that clip with his man with the t-shirt saying Come on Nas:dame:

Look I wont lie, I would have loved to have seen post divorce and focused Nas destroy that fire beat but yeah I get it:ld:

Sounds like it might be Statik Seletah from LIG. shyt is crazy. If Nas put out all new shyt that we had no idea about, lol I’m done (I’m saying I’d just be floored and fukking amazed if dude has that many quality unknown unreleased tracks in the vaults)
Yeah man the snippet is Lost Freestyle produced by Statik. And btw I don’t hate the Nasir album but this snippet I probably like more than anything on it. And I’m pretty neutral on Statik either way.

Cause I assumed for years he never finished it and the snippet was all there was.

Two good take aways from this news is that we are going to get some interviews from Nas about this project and he is undoubtedly going to say he has tons of more and that there will be other volumes coming soon of course. Another is that we know for certain that Nas has at least 2 more quality volumes in the vaults ready to work on.
