Went through LT2 again the other day. It’s a good album. Some weaker cuts but the highs are excellent
yeah, Lost Tapes 2 was classic...just went above a lot of people's heads...gotta flush out your ear of all the other bullshyt records and recalibrate your standards in which people evaluate records nowadays

Album IMO may be the best album to drop in the last 3 yrs. Of the ones I've heard anyway.
The only disappointment off from expectations was Alchemist. Still can't believe he let Swizz fukking Beats come with iller production than he did
But this album overall is one of my favorite Nas albums.

Not my favorite instrumental by any means, and my least favorite Nas and Al joint, but this just dropped today

When Nas had the whole promo with the lab for LT2, I thought for certain we would get "The Scientist". If it ever ends up on a Lost Tapes, it has to be the 1st song. I don't really hear it having any other placement. It sounds like an intro.

For some reason too that beat on It Never Ends kinda reminded me of the 1st beat on this.

I seriously don't even see how this is up for debate. LT2 just hits differently all around. And it's a great summer album too.
Aside from at best 2 or 3 tracks, KD was flat as hell to me. Gave it 2 or 3 full spins at most and never bothered revisiting it. Still can't figure out what people see in KD.

I thought the same thing too. Had a similiar vibe to it and that's the first beat I thought about when I heard it. But Roc's track is a waaaaaaaay better song. I'd argue that's his best song post the Reloaded album.

The "release" of Jarreau of rap as the "single" took the air out of the release. Lost freestyle or Tanasia would have set the tone. This was a really good project otherwise
