The conscious shyt and black empowerment shyt came from Untitled basically being the blueprint for that type of shyt for the last 10 years. He went and got Damien Marley on the album which is def influenced by Distant Relatives. And he’s said out his own mouth how much of a fan of that album he was to the point he went to the store personally and bought it himself. Then he spoke on his marital problems over No ID beats which is the same thing as LIG.

Nas did his thing on the Lost Tapes 2. What excites me equally as much is any o these songs could've been held back for his next album so he must have some real heat on deck for the next one. I think he has enough for another Lost Tapes from the Def Jam era too. It will be interesting to see how he does the next Sony Lost Tapes.

Billboard 200 will count 1,250 streams as one album unit for paid subscription services. Free, ad-supported services will need 3,750 streams to equal one album unit

for instance, on youtube, nas has Lost Freestyle listed twice

one under mass appeal and the other under his page. mass has 162K and nas has 158K for that song.

if you click the song it counts as a play whether it is viewed completely or not. if you click one of those videos 3,750 times it counts as you buying 1 nas album.

add both streams for Lost Freestyle and its 320,000 plays. divide that by 3,750 and that is roughly 85 albums sold.
