Queens house of detention closed in 2002 so queens wolf could possibly be at least that old

Or maybe nas wrote the song back in the days and recorded years later but never changed the lyrics

Or maybe he wrote it and recorded it after queens house closed but wasn’t aware it closed
Nas is reminiscing his days as a teen in Queens Wolf so I assume the setting is the 80’s, early 90’s.

Nas really was rapping on the entire lost tapes 2. Any person that loves real hip hop this is a perfect example of it. At this point anybody that questions nas after this, is choosing to hate on Esco. Some of these raps are God tier

A dirty game when you servin' 'caine
Got feds to watch, hoes to watch, checkpoints and roadblocks
Police barricades, batterrams
Doors off the hinges, wake up flinchin', who ratted, man?
Knew who it had to been, states, feds and housin' added in
Every department searchin' your apartment
Ransackin' it, found four ratchets
DEA jackets, we gotta escape the madness

Man I Love!! When he raps like this smh
that's my goat

I knew the song would be special when the snippet came out and Nas was talking about Hanna-Barbera characters, entering a boxing ring with no trainer, and not being able to charm call girls with a roll of pennies in the same verse. :wow:

This album made me realize that sometimes, Nas' brain makes him think of the weirdest shyt to put in his songs, but you're never confused. It always makes sense. :wow:

Nasir is a solid 4 Mics. I’ll argue that until my dying day

Rate every song, friend.

1. Adam n Eve 5/5
2. Bonjour - 4/5

3. Cops Shot The Kid 3/5

4. Everything - 2/5
5. White Lable - 2/5
6. Simple Things - 2/5

7. Not For Radio 1/5

2/5, IMO, Hurt to bump this in Brooklyn

1). Not For Radio 4.5/5. (This song gets me PUMPED in the morning)

2). Cops Shot The Kid- 4.5/5

3). White Label- 4/5

4). Bonjour- 5/5

5). Everything- 5/5 (one of my favorite Nas songs)

6). Adam and Eve- 4.5/5

7). Simple Things- 4/5

Overall I can bump the album straight through and enjoy the whole thing. Its even more impressive given that Nas recorded it in like two weeks.

Everything sounds like a Kanye album song that was given to Nas somehow. The singing, the anti-vaxx bullshyt rhymes...nah, firm no. Not For Radio pisses me off because Kanye should know better: adding "epic" strings doesn't make something sound like Hate Me Now. Nor does adding Diddy do the trip. It's a low tempo song with weak trap drums and Nas doesn't sound right on it. Not to mention the lyrics...
