name a bad song on this besides royalty and jarreau of rap , i'll wait
Those songs aren't bad either
name a bad song on this besides royalty and jarreau of rap , i'll wait
ive only herd the album once and it was an instant classic.
first impressions of negativity was the hitboy and swizz hooks and the pacing of track 6,7,8
but after that album picked back up
now im listening for my second time and i immediately noticed something
im listening to the album in reverse and it seems to be sequenced properly
track 1 beautiful life and the last track being bad energy
it completely changes the tone of the album as now the first track immediately references recent topics
then this theme of nas addressing recent topics continues on QB politics.
feels right
the introduction on beautiful is more appropiate as an album intro
then at the end of qb politics he says "we need to lighten it up"
then the next track would be "mean the world to me" which does exactly that sonically
i had the same experience with the first lost tapes.
i believe track 1 should be fetus and the last track doo rags
sequencing is extremely understated
Whats this from?
I can fukk with this but I like I Am better than Untitled
Been rocking with this all weekend. Definitely needed a break from the Moneybag Yo, Gunna, Lil Baby, Da Baby, YFN type of music lol
Listeners will find little of that charm on the sequel, which mines unreleased tracks from recording sessions for Hip Hop Is Dead, his untitled album, Life Is Good and NASIR. Nas wastes his nimble, multisyllabic flow by jumping from tired topic to exhausted topic. “It Never Ends” pays tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. on the hook, with a reference to Biggie’s song “Come On”: “I got seven MAC-11s, about eight .38s/Nine nines, 10 MAC-10s, the shyt never ends (Never ends, never ends)/The world’s going crazy, this shyt never ends (Never ends, never ends).”
Once upon a time, Nas would have had the foresight to turn this appropriated B.I.G. hook into a street-smart condemnation of the gun violence that has been a hot topic in America since Columbine. And yet, he wastes the cut rapping about wearing “buckets like Gilligan.”
