-Nas says he likes recording in the Winter but that he feels its better to put out an album in the summer

-Says that he considers the OG Lost Tapes an important offering in his discography. Says he loves Papa Was A Playa. He originally thought Lost Tapes was going to be a “waste” because it was throwaway tracks but he was surprised with its success

-Speaks on Pete Rock. Says that Pete is one of his “favorite” ever producers. He didn’t want to put out any Pete Rock records that he didn’t put his “all” into and he felt he had to put two Pete records on the album to compensate for all the years they missed

-He likes “dusty” sounding Pete Rock beats

- Says he originally only wanted a Pete Rock beat that could be a “single” to live up to The World Is Yours but then realized they didn’t have to make a single

-There is a real Tanasia in Queensbridge but the song isn’t about her. It was originally a freestyle called “Fantasia”.

-Confirms that Tanasia was part of the studio sessions that was supposed to be the RZA produced album. Says that he and RZA had discussions as early as last year about completing the album

-Says that he feels like Dave East is a star

-Says he’s been dying to work with RZA again since Verbal Intercourse. Shoutouts RZA and calls him a master

-Confirms that he and Swizz have alot of “joints” together. Confirms that No Bad Energy comes from those Sessions where they recorded an album of material. Says he forgot about the song but his man “G-Code” told him it should be on the album.

-Says that Statik Selektah is “Pure Hip Hop” and reminds him of a disciple of DJ Premier. Says he’s never heard a bad Statik track.

-Says Lost Freestyle first verse was written and the second verse is a freestyle

- Says he prefers writing to going off the top.

-Says that QB is a music landmark. Quotes Rakim writing Eric B Is President in an apartment in Queensbridge. Talks about New York City breakers. Says he had to make Queensbridge Politics a short song because he could have gone on for 5 minutes

-Mass Appeal was producing a tv show for Prodigy and Nas didn’t have alot of time to talk to him but when they spoke the last time it was all love.

-Says he’s known Havoc since kindergarten. Shoutouts Killer Black

-Says he’s inspired by Richard Pryor

-Says Vernon Family is 12 years old

-Says once you sign your first contract you become a businessman. Says he’s been a businessman since he was 17 years old. Says that if you listen to early Jay-Z records it was inevitable that he was going to become what he ended up becoming.

-Says that he feels like Russell Simmons or Eazy E should have been the first Hip Hop billionaires but they had to break down barriers so that Dr Dre and Jay-Z could get there.

-Calls Dre and Jay-Z his “guys” and that once he becomes a billionaire he’s going to party at their house

-Says that Wu-Tang Clan’s legacy is too “important” to mess up and he’s happy that Mass Appeal documentary was successful

-Says Mass Appeal is going to do Rick James story next.

When he says a RZA album is he talking about just the tracks that he produced for this album or was he supposed to produce a full album for Nas?

They saying 'Vernon Family' was from LIG sessions also 'No Bad Energy' and 'Adult Film' was recorded in 2016 in the same week(Echo also recorded that week)

Just adding more timelines to these songs

I'm believing this a lot more than HHID. Nas did not sound like this on HHID IMO (flow wise). Also, from Back When from LIG, "I light a L for Vernon, for n****s who would burn in hell for Vernon, 10th Street, 12th Street." Uses a similar line on the hook of Vernon Family, "10th Street, 12th Street, Vernon Family."

-Says thats Whats The 411 is the Illmatic of R&B debut albums

-Says that Mary is responsible for getting rappers back on stage and tours back in the day because a lot of venues were shutting rappers out because of shootouts and getting sued

-Says he’s kind of tired of celebrating Illmatic anniversaries (word to @Big Mark )

-Says his greatest collaboration is Fast Life with Kool G. Rap

-Says that if he were to pick any song for someone who didn’t know about him to listen to it would be NY State Of Mind

-Says he want to act again but he doesn’t know what project to do

-Says that it will be sooner than 17 years before he releases LT 3 and 4

-Says that Stevie Wonder knew one of the attorneys he was working with during his divorce and the the Lawyer told him that Stevie told the lawyer to make sure that Nas was taken care of. Says he wanted to say that in a rhyme and that he said “FACTS”’ as an ad-lib on the song but they didn’t keep it on the song.

-Confirms that Who Are You came from the criticism he was getting from black leaders about naming his album ******. Said that it was hypocritical for Black Leaders to protest him when he was talking about injustice in the black community.
