Yeah, I think he could have made his point clearer. As with a lot of his political/social commentary, it sounds plain ignorant or uninformed. He's at his best talking about his life, storytelling etc which luckily this album has a lot of.

I dont think it was in malice towards educated people moreso the ones who look down on the have nots which he kinda said

Am I lying? When I saw that title I expected more. Nas best attribute is his attention to detail. That song lacks mad detail. It don’t address shyt about the politics of his hood
:russell:

i'd believe you if you were remotely objective but you been camped out in here handing out negative vibes since before the album dropped and minutes after :deadmanny:

QB politics was a whole bunch of nothing

He said nothing at all on that record
It's not a tribute record or anything. He mentions that QB is a bit toxic and that P's book fanned the flames a bit, but that he's a legend and deserves respect. They had the chance to make up before he passed but wishes they had more time. QB unity and all that. What were you expecting?

Wtf I need to lie for?

What did u learn from that song about Queens Politics? What did Nas address about the book and why he wished it wasn’t released? Why was P mural vandalized? Not to mention the random music history lessons

Lost Tapes 2 > Bandana

LT2 is dope as fukk. I don’t see how it’s fukking with Bandana.

There isn’t a single song on that album as bad/polarizing as Jarreau of Rap (please miss me with the “nikkas is stupid for not understanding how dope it is” bullshyt). Not a single misstep. Everything on Bandana is excellent or better.

If you’re gonna compare it to what is probably the hip hop AOTY (so far) then he can’t get a pass for Skat Attack. Or some of those hooks.

We’re all happy NaS is back in form, but I guess my point is why even compare it to official album releases? Appreciate it for what it is: a collection of unreleased gems that doesn’t really count as an album.

Jarreau of rap actually is dope .....early on I hated the concept but it rides nicely....no where near as bad as what I thought

With the name of the record I expected more than “I wish the book never came out”. I heard that and was like “duh”. I just expected more detail about the P situation and politics in his hood based on the title. shyt needed a 3rd 32 bar verse

Why is Kid Capri all in Nas’ comments? I hope it’s not shade. He posted the same thing on 2 of Nas’ posts.

He's been commenting on Nas IG posts for like a year mentioning he has the perfect record for Nas, telling breh to call him. I don't think it's anything shady, he just wants to connect.

Copped of the strength of Nas over RZA, ALC, Pharrell production.

Tanasia :wow::ohlawd:

Royalty is trash though - beats not even bad but that basic RnB hook that comes in off the back of one of the grimiest RZA beats in years is jarring :beli:
