Lost Tapes was NEVER about songs not being good enough. Nas is a true artist and if the songs didn’t fit the album they were put to the side. LT1 was created cuz of songs that leaked and were too good to not do anything with. He records 25 or more for each album.

So much irony in this project. We been begging for Nas to work with Pete Rock and thought all this time they ain't f*ck with each other but end up with 2 on a lost tapes project. Just goes to show you Nas works with the producers yall ask for... they just don't end up on albums
