I hated when the ribbon got fukking stukk, or even worse twisted and crumpled. :to:

my Vanilla Ice tape got too hot int he car and melted. :mjlol:

also, remember when your Walkman batteries were getting low and the tape wouldn't turn as fast. I had that slowed down chopped & screwed sound long before it was official. :mjlol:

Remember throwing parties and trying to edit tapes so in the middle of the party the radio commercial doesn't come on and fukk up the party.

The beauty of having a 2 cassette dekk radio to dub with. :wow:

I would sometimes cut the tape, using a tiny tiny piece of scotch tape to attach the tape bakk together. Never did that for a party though. Just for my own personal use.

younger dudes will never understand having to HOPE you catch a song on the radio. And you wanna catch it from the start, not halfway thru. Listening to the radio when the DJ says he's gonna play that song coming up. "Coming Up" always took forever. lol

now you can just go to YouTube and listen anytime.

I will always have love for the mix DJs. In ATL, it was Ryan Cameroon on V-103 on Friday nights. I remember it took me a whole month to get the whole DJ Quik 'Born and Raised in Compton' song properly recorded.
