I disagree, I don't think he has the ability to adapt w the times as well as Hov. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed LIG, but it's not something that stands up against work like Illmatic/IWW where ill b listening to it ten years down the line. Ppl calling it classic???
it was a good album for Nas to drop in the twilight of his career, but lets stop overhyping it. And yes, without hit records artists tend to fade away n lose their relevance (IE 50 cent). That's y I gotta give it to Hov, he been in it 16 years n puts out consistent hits n is able to adapt w the times. Some of the biggest records of his career (commercial/street) came out in the past three years. The last big Nas record that was heavy in the street was "made u look" . N don't come in here trying to act like "the don" was anything special
Nas feeds his core fanbase at this pt, which is cool but he's barely relevant outside of that. N for the record I don't fukk w the majority of these new school rappers either.
