Lol I'm a queens native n it still stuns me how much ppl ride out for nas on this forum. However anytime I'm discussin hip hop w anybody outside of here it's no question that Jay is the superior artist. I mean I love Nas, he has Countless classics, but damn, his catalogue aside from illmatic it was written n Stillmatic is pretty :ld: at best. He hasn't dropped a hot single in god knows how long.

That thing of people prefering Nas over Jay isnt exclusive just to this forum though, been seeing it for years. Jay's always been the more popular but that conversation pops in a lot of places just with circles of Hip-Hop fans. Depends on how casual or how purist the person is really

Its probably the most intense over here and on SOHH but it happens...

"buuut... buuut the younger crowd ain't checkin for nas, hov got that crowd on lock."

"nas promoting hennessy is gonna directly affect the youth of america"

:laff:

the way nikkas get emotional at everything the man does is borderline creepy. :scusthov:

When you 10+ albums deep, you don't need a hot single to move units. He grown past that. Hot singles that are geared towards the radios and clubs after a certain point makes you look old and out of touch. Like LL's "Ratchet" track.

black love, unity, and music
Most of the so called people hating on Nas are either crusty ass cac's intimidated by Nas's black power message or crab in the barrel ass c00n negroes that enjoy reveling in the misery of others. Either way its a demonic and pathetic group to be a part of.

About Nas
A hip-hop icon since the early 1990s, Nas emerged from the Queensbridge neighborhood of Long Island City, a hotbed of rap artist since the '80s. The son of jazz trumpeter Olu Dara, Nas has since gone on to sell over 20 million albums worldwide over the span of his legendary career, and has acted as an ambassador for hip-hop culture throughout the globe. The first full-length album by the poet and rhyme-master Nas arrived in 1994, the RIAA platinum Illmatic. Since then he has released nine solo albums and 3 compilation albums that have been certified double-platinum, platinum or gold. In recent years, Nas has transcended mere rapper status and engaged in greater levels of philanthropy. He is an avid UNICEF supporter, helping to raise funds for East African region Horn of Africa and teaming up with the family of George Harrison for the organization's Month of Giving. Nas also donated all proceeds of Distant Relatives, his 2010 collaboration with longtime friend Damian Marley, to help end poverty in Africa. Nas' new release is the critically acclaimed Life Is Good, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the sixth #1 album that the artist has produced in his career. The collection also appeared on many year-end 'album of the year' lists, and most recently, Nas was nominated for four GRAMMY awards in conjunction with the release. These recognitions mark the rap icon's 13th career nominations overall.

lol dont try to switch this up with me.... these dudes is on here friday and sat nights consistently:childplease:
 that's your reply? lmao, your 15-30 mins remark means nothing. You clowned their participation on the coli discussing hiphop news as if you're above them. YOU'RE NOT. You're doing the same shyt but maybe worse cause you're arguing and speaking ill of faceless internet personalities. Yet acting like they're pathetic for talking about hiphop stars, which this site was designed for.
