In other words it ain't dropping this year

But it's cool. This just means this is the last Nas album would could possibly get until another 10 years from now, if he doesn't decide to hang it up. The intervals are getting longer, 4 years between Untitled and Life Is Good (not counting Distant Relatives), now going on 5 years since that.

We gonna have to accept the wait and appreciate it when it arrives.

Most dudes after 15 years slow up releasing albums it feels. Him and Jay arent really at that age where they need to drop music year after year and now its a matter of status and releasing when they want to.

Last year, Nasty Nas teased his forthcoming LP on “Nas Album Done,” a song off DJ Khaled’s Major Key. However, he says that title wasn’t entirely accurate. “It’s not done ’til it hits the streets,” he explained.

But prior to releasing the follow-up to Life Is Good, the Mass Appeal boss says fans should expect a surprise or two. “We might do a single but we might do something different,” he said.

Nas revealed that he’s adding the album’s finishing touches at the new WeWork-built Mass Appeal headquarters in New York City, where he recently built a new studio space.

Aside from working on his own material, Nas also recently collaborated with Mass Appeal’s Fashawn in the new lab. It’s unclear whether that collaboration was for his next project or Fashawn’s follow-up to 2015’s The Ecology.

In the meantime, Nas is holding fans over with new music. “Angel Dust,” a track from the second season of Netflix’s The Get Down, can be heard here.

Beyond music, Nas is also working on the pilot for his BET series, “Street Dreams.” Plus, he’s signed on to play Raymond “Sunset” Green in Monster, which also features Jennifer Hudson and A$AP Rocky, according to IMDB. Esco is also the film’s executive producer.
