Ive let it cook for awhile. Heres how i see it
1. Not for Radio - Starts off fire. Beat is dope and the 1st verse is fire.. then the 2nd verse comes on.
. Still a good song but that 2nd verse is cringeworthy. 3.5/5
2. Cops Shot the Kid - Dope song. Nas and Ye killed it but am I the only one who thinks Ye kinda outshinned Nas? The beat is cool and I like the sample but I wish the sample didnt play through the verses. 3.5/5
3. White Label - Same problem where the sample plays through the verses. The beat is still fire but is it just me or is it not mixed right? The beat doesnt bang like it should and Nas voice seems way louder then the beat. Nas's bars are solid but not good enough to be turned up like that. Its still a solid song but a better mixing woulda been better. It could be me but ive played on multiple sound systems and still the same. Still good though. 3/5
4. Bonjour - alot of people love this song.. its good but not great for me. Not much to say really. Good beat ,good bars but not great. Its cool 3/5
5. Everything. - This is flames. The first part is long but its damn good. Dream and Kanye sound great. Nas has the best lyrical showing up to this point and the beat is fire and matches perfectly. 4/5
6. Adam and Eve - Flames. Best beat on the project and Nas bodies this. Dope beat that matches perfectly. Best song on here to me 4.5/5
7. Simple Things - Solid. Too short but its good. Nothing spactacular. 3/5
Overall its a good album. I understand the hate as Nas is held to a high standard. Honestly I wouldn't put a single song on here on a best of Nas playlist. But thats more because of how amazing his catalouge is. So its good album from the GOAT but its in the bottom half of his catalouge
