For what Kanye was trying to do in capturing the best moments in Nas's career with 7 songs, explains the lack of cohesion. It is for that reason why I think the album falls short because nothing on it comes close to capturing Nas's best moments IMO. Good effort, but it's like rehashes of his old works with varying degrees of execution. Still a good album and a commendable effort. This album gave us "Adam & Eve". Not a top tier Nas song, but easily the best on the album.

as a nas stan this shyt was just forgettable...its a good record but i just dont care. it will sound good when you shuffle all of his songs together but on its own lets so much to be desired.
