Huh? I didn't pay for it? How do you pay to listen to music? Don't we have some sort of music subscription by now? Why you that mad? Why you on forums if not to discuss opinions? The nerve of me for what? Enjoying Magic more than the KD series?

As a matter of fact, up until KD2, I bought the digital download from the Nas Store and then I bought merch for Nasir, Lost Tapes 2, IWW 20th Year which is also bundled with the digital download so in fact I paid for that shyt double. I rocked that gear to his concert this summer and stood there in the rain. Oh, and you gotta talk about the nerve of me? I was going to cop the NFT but I was too slow. That shyt sold out immediately.

King's Disease II is harder and darker than the first King's Disease. The hardest track on KD1 ("Blue Benz") wouldn't even fit on the second one.

"Rare" is so hard, it could have been on The Lost Tapes. It sounded like an unreleased track. :wow:
Blue Benz would fit right after Death Row East:wow:

It's not an insult, not at all. I love "Blue Benz." But King's Disease has a certain feel to it. It feels warm like the summer. It reminds you of having a free Saturday, going around town when the weather is 75 degrees in May, then getting home in time to watch the Mets game.

King's Disease II has that feeling to some extent, but now, it's getting a little colder. It's a little more harsh and industrial. The production feels like it's smacking you in the face more. There are more samples than the first one, there's more of an urgency than the first one. "Store Run" is like "Blue Benz" on steroids. Even the tracks that are similar to KD1 ("Moments," "No Phony Love," "Brunch on Sundays") feel like they're digging into your ears more. It's like Nas and Hit Boy found some brand new technology in between albums. Compare the original "EPMD" to "EPMD 2." The remix makes the original sound like a demo, with just a few minor tweaks. :dwillhuh:

Maybe its just me but KD2 has more of a summer feeling to me than KD1. All the tracks you listed give me a summer vibe whereas songs like Car 85, All Bad, Ten Points and The Cure give me Fall/Winter vibes.

Ironically enough Magic might be the most “Summertime” feeling album of the three even though it was essentially a Christman gift. I can see myself bumping Speechless, Meet Joe Black, and 40-16 Building well into June/July

The only “Winter” sounding song is Ugly

I think King's Disease II sounds like a summer album in the beginning. It follows a similar path that the first one did. Then "Moments" hits and I'm like, "Oh, this is where he's going with it?" It feels like a fall/winter album near the end, and it's a great setup for Magic because that album is cold as hell to me. It sounds like Nas recorded it in Queensbridge with cases of E&J in the studio. :russ:

I'm going to do what you said and see how Magic sounds when it gets warmer. The weather might have something to do with my perception, but sometimes, it doesn't. The first time I heard Daily Operation was a couple years ago in the middle of winter, but it's always sounded like a spring album.

What I love about KD2 is it really takes you on a journey. To me it starts off in the early spring then finishes in late fall. Then Magic sounds like the winter to me.
