:wow: Get ready to feast, breh.

Boldy James and Alchemist dropped Bo Jackson in August, and then Super Tecmo Bo in December. Boldy's raps leveled up a lot since the album they dropped together in 2020, and Alchemist gives a lot more interesting poduction IMHO on these two newest albums they did from 2021. I think they've really cemented themselves as an all time great producer/rapper duo. EDIT: The features aren't all listed below. Bo Jackson features Benny, Freddie Gibbs, Currensy, Roc Marciano, Earl Sweatshirt, and Stove God Cooks. Super Tecmo Bo features ICECOLDBISHOP.

Not to be a hater, but randomly picked EPMD to listen to, and he off beat and rapping like he on lean. You really feeling this dude?

I been sitting with this a minute, and I think Magic is the best yet, and that every project has been better than the last of the three so far.

I really love that Nas committed to one producer for a project, and love that he saw it was great chemistry and kept doing more. Hitboy stock way up, deservingly!

Nas true GOAT you can't even debate it.

Magic definitely feels like a classic to me, certainly the first album since the mid-00’s where I’ve played over and over again with minimal skipping.

There will always be a minority who prefer other rappers. But by this point it’s beyond doubt Nas is hiphop GOAT:

Illmatic: Instant Classic
It Was Written: Revised Classic
The Firm: OK
I Am: Dope
Nastradamous: OK/Good
QB’s Finest: Dope
Stillmatic : Instant Classic
Lost Tapes: Instant Classic
God’s Son: Dope
Streets Disciple: Good/Dope
HipHop Is Dead: OK/Good
Untitled: OK/Good
Lost Relatives: OK
Life Is Good: Dope
Nasir: Poor/OK
Lost Tapes II: Poor/OK
Kings Disease: Dope (despite the Grammy win I don't think it's a classic)
Kings Disease II: Dope (I have a feeling this will become a Revised Classic)
Magic: TBC but feeling like an Instant Classic

The only rapper who comes close is Jay Z.

I listened to Boldy back when they dropped My 1st Chemistry Set. I didn’t really like his flow, I’ve never been massively into Roc Marci or Ka either and they seem to be in a similar space with the monotone flow and drumless vibe etc. Everyone raved about The Price Of Tea In China too but I didn’t feel it. I haven’t checked since then and I know I’m prob missing out on some dope beats from Alc but if I’m not feelin the MC I can’t really fux with it no matter how much I like the beats.

aiyo this is wild off beat and azzz :scusthov:

i swear nggaz do the same to every nas album :mjlol:

:camby:

I’ve heard maybe a handful of good Nas blends. His flow isn’t straight on the 2/4 like a lot of rappers even when they have a different flow you can usually work it onto another beat. Nas tends to flow just behind the beat and if you don’t get it right, it will flow on beat for a few bars but then it will slowly start to fall off and half way through the song it’s all fukked up.

just played KD1, KD2 and Magic back to back for first time.

3 albums and i've only got 2 tracks I still don't care for

YKTV is solid but not much more to me and EPMD 2 i never liked the beat even on the original and Em verse I'm not a fan of

Ironic KD2 has my least 2 favourite songs as at times KD2 has been my favourite of the 3. But there's something about Magic man. I think fundamentally, Nas can do a lot of different types of songs that I'll enjoy but Magic Nas is the sort of Nas music I enjoy the most so hard to put KD1 and KD 2 above it.

whatever my favourite salute to Nas and Hit Boy. They're consistent as fukk. Illmatic, IWW and I Am and the Stillmatic, God's Son and Lost Tape runs may have more highs but honestly there's probably more skips in those than KD1, KD2 and Magic for me
