coming from the UK i've never really understood the way Nas is treated by a lot in the media in the US. UK and UK hip hop radio/ media love Nas.

Imagine Lord Jamar listening to KD1 and KD2, lol. Not to give him a pass, but he is one of them ashy "hip hop head" type dudes who only like that boom bap type shyt, I'm sure he hates KD1 and KD2 like a lot of others that fall into that sect of people...so he probably was hesitant about even giving "Magic" a chance. I think some of these "trapped in the 90's" ass dudes have more of an issue with Hitboy and his style of production than they do Nas, imo.

I'm just glad that Lord Jamar's opinion literally means next to nothing, lol...and nobody will hear it. If he was still doing Vlad it may have grabbed a headline or two, him talking crazy. And I think all his Jay-z love comes from Jay-z wearing the 5%er chain and talking a lot of that 5% stuff in his more recent material.

Ya'll forgot Eminem is featured on KD2. So I can only imagine the shock and horror he felt seeing the tracklist. He probably won't touch a Nas album again or send random shots at Nas just because.

It's very simple most of these people like Jayz and never wanna give Nas credit for anything. And for 30 years just like Jayz did with Takeover all they have to do is say it's not Illmatic Nas

They can’t just say “It’s not Illmatic Nas” anymore bc people are calling them out. Hence the reason this goof is having a change of mind about the “dope” album. People are truly taking notice of the unfair criticism that Nas has been receiving over the decades in his career and no longer allowing that narrative to slide from the bias media.

But he listened to both Nasir and LT2. And didn’t really say much bad about either one. Rah Digga always hated how them nikkas acted wit Nas tho.
