I love how all three of these albums have loose yet consistent concepts or themes - honor, moderation, loyalty, etc - which allow Nas to weave in and out with some pure unfiltered slick shyt, without locking him a rugged "concept album" box. He's really talking his shyt on these Hit Boy albums, especially the last two. Nothing preachy. It's like "here's some jewels, take em or leave em...btw I'm still that dude."

There isn't one song that I don't think is fire,

He gave me exactly what I was asking for after the last 2 KD's (I love both)...a grown up hard NY sounding hip hop album with the lyricism put back in the forefront and the smooth/relationship vibes put on the back burner. I can tell he made a conscious decision to leave that type of stuff off of here for the most part.

I haven't heard Nas rhyme/flow this crazy in I don't know how long. I won't start comparing it to all his other stuff...you know you don't really have to do that right? Lol, maybe later on down the line or sumn but not so soon after it dropped. To me this shyt is pretty flawless tho, only thing I'd have to force myself to complain about is its length (pause) and I was hoping for a 3rd verse on a couple of these jawns (The Truth, 40-16). Imagine he let Mega or Hav get a verse on 40-16...


If you don't got Nas Top 3 at this point I think it's safe to say you just don't like him for sucka reasons most likely. He's #1 ever by a country mile imo...how you 48 making the best rap music out continuously? . Literally ever song is my favorite song, I'd feel foul picking favorites. My least favorite is probably "Hollywood Gangsta" and that shyt is fiiiiiiiiiiiiire.

And when Asap start rapping like that? , salute to youngboy, he did his thing.

This is a top five Nas album, this what that Kanye produced album was supposed to sound like , this deserves the Grammy, this is better than both kd albums , I literally played this all day while I been on Covid lock down, Nas stans in this board have to go crazy for this…this is the one

I ordered a KD2 from Nas's site on release day, but still haven't received it (and knew it would be late because artists are always slow but I wanted to support) so I ordered another off of Amazon and will give the other one to my brother whenever it shows up.
