Nas - Magic 2 (Discussion thread)

In revisiting the entire Nas/Hitboy catalog over the past week, I’ve come to realize that Nas and Hit have dragged me, kicking and screaming, into the modern production era

27 Summers was a skip for me in 2020, now im loving it. If Abracadabra would have been the first song on KD, I probably would have been horrified
Now I can’t get enough of it.
I guess what I’m saying is, I may no longer be stuck in the 90s

Still me every single time I’m listening to “Motion”, , I’ve listened to this song more than any song on any of these albums, . Both verses, that beat, … I could tell he loved that beat and probably couldn’t wait to write to it.

Honestly I feel like Magic 2 is easily better than Magic 1. Magic 2 don’t got no skips.

If the do a Magic 3 instead of KD4 I’d be interested to see if folks prefer the Magic series or the KD series.

Magic > KD
Magic 2 > KD2

But they would have to do something incredible to beat KD3, cause as it stands I got KD in my Nas top 5 all time.

I don’t skip a track on Magic 1 or Magic 2. 2 completely different bodies of work in my opinion. I appreciate Nas and Hit Boy not making the same sounding albums each time.
