I'd love to hear someone try to argue that Melo is better than Lebron, lol.
To dude's point tho, I never seen Nas trending and getting as much attention and all that type of stuff like when Kanye did his joint and they was dropping it...then there was a delay or sumn and everybody was in an uproar, etc... I don't know if "revived" his career is the right word but he definitely got him the most attention he's had in a wild long time. I just wish my guy capitalized off of it and that album was fire, smh...all eyes were on him in that moment.
Hip Hop Is Dead and Untitled both got massive amounts of hype and attention during they’re respective years of release. Hell Hip Hop Is Dead was “trending” before that was even a thing for months based off the title alone.
To say Kanye “revived” Nas career would be like saying Michael Jordan playing for the Wizards “Revived” his career. Michael Jordan would have made waves wherever he signed to come back. The COME BACK was the story not the Wizards themselves. Before Kanye Nas was working with Timbaland, and then he worked on an album A&R’d by Hip Hop Since 1978, both of those had anticipation. Nas Album Done wasn’t included on Khaled’s album WITH a video release just for shyts and giggles. It was because there was actual anticipation for a new Nas project.
All Kanye did was have a public meltdown, outwardly tap dance on TMZ, and throw Nas some beats at the 11th hour that Nas was still able to turn into a decent album, not the classic Kanye promised the world because he was too busy praising Hitler and running for President to lock in and put in some real work.
