Haven't listened, but the track titles alone got me intrigued.

I will say this. Same as with movies and tv shows, we tend to listen to music with anxiety, and as a result be too quick to judge critically. That could very well be the case here.......then again, I haven't listened to it yet. :manny:

I hate hitboy production so much. These new school beats aren't for Nas. Motion is the first song I can sit through. I really hate this new money oriented Nas.
I hear you, I know exactly what you mean about the sound…but my cousin said the same shyt about Nas to me like last year about him being money-oriented and shallow now too often. I’ll ask you like I asked her…did you not hear the million and one Nas songs in the 90’s and 2000s where he’s talking that talk!? That’s Nas! Lol. Nas is not Talib Kweli or one of these guys man…some fans got my son all the way fukked up lol. Some of that is his fault tho, like 50 said when they was beefing, he confuses the fans sometimes dropping singles like “I Can” but then the fans of that buy the album and he’s talking about killing nigs and Bentleys and diamonds, 😂. Me personally, that’s why he’s my favorite rapper ever, I relate cause I’m all over the place the same way…most humans are, 🤷🏽‍♂️. I like the fly pompous talk, I like the black empowerment talk, etc… all that

magic 2 def sounds like some shyt was freestyled or they were leftovers from other sessions...this is the most average of the nas and hit boy collabos.i always gave props for hit boy for being very diverse with his production...but i wasnt feeling what he was doing with it on this album all that much..that 50 cent collab was trash...the KD series and the first magic those albums grabbed me on first listen...this one did not...im going to give it the car test later tonight to see if it changes my opinion

This is cool sequels always going to be compared to the original so I'm not surprised by some of the comments. Nas is back in stride. A pet peeve of mine is when Nas tries to rap fast like on Abra. No Nasir No beloved. Outside of that I like it. It's not bad imo

I'm 25. I got to skip all the shytty Nas songs he may have made in the 90's and pick up the ones I liked.
