You ever been on the other end of a robbers revolver, not me, call me lucky Nas Casalana, or been shot in the Medulla oblongata and survived it, praise god with a bullet I never collided

Random: "Stay" is the best song on @Nas "life is good" album. Like, its really phenomenal. Lyricism, musicianship, cadence, everything.

I think that today I have to agree. The horns blowing for like a minute before he even starts rhyming. shyt sounds like some shyt you hear at a poetry slam or some shyt.

I read some other shyt on twitter that caught my attention. Dude was like the way nas raps makes you realize that's something you can't do. Most other rappers you hear them and be like "I can rap like that. That's easy".

For the first time in a long time i actually waited until i purchased an album before listening to it instead of downloading or streaming it. I must say the wait has been well worth it. I have stated this before but i'll say it again Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones is the greatest lyricist in Hip-Hop ever. Guys like Kendrick may have intricate wordplay and whatnot but with Nas u can close ur eyes and listen and understand every word he says and just listen to his stories. This is a mature album not something u gonna see cats bumping in the ride with the windows down. This is an album u wanna listen to so u can hear how this man just paints stories with words. I don't believe Nas will truly be appreciated by the masses until he dies and his lyrics and songs get analyzed by the "experts". Say what u want about his beat selection and commercial appeal this man has never brought it lyrically in about 20 years of being in the game. Even Jay-Z dumbed down his lyrics for BP1 tremendously. Nas has always (even Nastradamus which gets to much bad flak) given u your money's worth as far as hearing stories with vivid description. This album has reaffirmed to me that Nas is the undisputed G.O.A.T.

Question about a few of the tracks samples

A queens story, world's an addiction, and black bond all contain samples of recordings performed by salaam.

what exactly does that mean? Did he actually write and make the music with no other sample?

he produced the songs, but sampled himself playing the music?

07-Nas - You Wouldn't Understand Ft Victoria Monet.mp3
08-Nas - Daughters.mp3
09-Nas - World's An Addiction Ft Anthony Hamilton.mp3
10-Nas - Roses.mp3

18-Nas - Bye Baby.mp3

BONUS
19-Nas - The Don.mp3

at first i considered adding black bond & where's the love after accident murderer but that would really cut the album in half.. might make the second part too mellow. i love it just how made it there now, makes more sense lyrically & sonically

thoughts?

post yours. but please no 10 track this-would-match-illmatic type tracklist. the man put in work to get 19 tracks there. cuttin it in half is straight disrespect.

I like the album as is. I think it flows pretty perfectly. I view the bonus cuts as an EP. The only song I feel ABSOLUTELY should've been included on the standard is Where's The Love, but I'm keeping it all as is:stylin:
