Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Having the vinyl has made this feel like a re-release. I gave it a spin last night. On this listen I think Michael and Quincy and the 2nd half of WTF SMH were the standouts for me. “Bold, beautiful, dangerous.” :wow: It’s just a great record. The consistency is one of the things I’ve enjoyed about this entire series.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The verse after the beat switch is one of the best verses I've heard in the last 10 years
:wow:

shyt is too real

Everybody's so quick to flip or say they with the shyts
They go against someone look just like them
:mjpls:
But when the enemy has government powers
They become cowards, they cut the tough guy shyt
When they arrest, when they come cuff your kids
They give us criminal records, because of where we live
And the money is low, and narcotics are thriving
It's evil, we diagnosed with something that's untreatable
Feel powerless so brothers only have beef with you
So you on your murder shyt 'cause that's what you see them do
Well, let me tell you somethin'
Many go on GBG, Get Back Gang, who gon' rest in peace?
In this land, twenty-three million layers
All we have is some givers and some takers
Have some good souls and bad souls
Some humble people, some a$$holes, slow like watchin' the grass grow
The crosswalk lady walkin' with the kids to school
There's a place in heaven for her, as is you
And if you don't believe in that, then slatt :manny:
Go where you going, be where you at, no hugs, speakin' or dap
I wish that we could adapt
:francis:

The fact that Nas is damn near 30 years in the game dropping gems like this. GOAT shyt
This verse right here made me feel something when I heard it. No bullshyt. It's prolly his best verse out of the whole series.

Absolutely a standout verse. Nas has a way of breaking down what’s going on and diagnosing what’s wrong while maintaining a glimmer of hope. It’s of a redemptive quality that sometimes feels missing in rap these days.
