Hit boy challenges Nas. And Nas is challenging himself, you can tell. The modern and various production that hit provides is a perfect match. Hit also throws in beats that no producer would have given to Nas in the past. That drill beat at the end of reminisce :wow:

The top 5 tracks on Nastadamus are better than the top 5 Hitboy era tracks,

This is a fact.

Life We Chose?

Project Windows?

Family?

Last Words?

Come Get Me?

The Cure is the only track that would crack that top 5.
Life We Chose is incredible, so is Last Words.

It's not just about songs though, the consistency of the Hit-Boy albums alone is what makes me rank it over Nastradamus; which had weird pacing and a few awful tracks.

Every Nas album has incredible songs here and there, but it's the overall package that makes an entire album replayable for me. KD3 and Magic rank very high for me in that regard.

This is probably one of the lines that struck me most in Kd3 but just dawned on me could have another meaning I didn’t think of initially.

was just the tender age of eighteen on the charts
Wasn't even dreamin' this far, believe who you are
The sun doesn't even know it's a star

The last line could be referring to himself if you switch Sun for son(God Son) especially if you know the links between Christianity and Sun worship(use that word loosely) the bars before them his talking about himself also, which maybe adds credence to my theory, either way even with the one meaning it’s still a great bar.

Whats some of the best verses on KD3?

Both verses from "Michael and Quincy" even the hook is quotable.

There's this on "Legit":

Should I save it or blow it? I mean it's only some paper
None of my neighbors too nosy, the Joneses ownin' some acres
To be the greatest is lonely but it chose me, I take it
Whatever the case may be, I'm out of space, OD
NASA without the A at the end, take off on three
What's the cost of a CD when fifteen-hundred places one sell?
What's that to fifteen-hundred peas on one scale?
For a starvin' artist tryna sneak out and reroute
Originality I seek out, let's clean house
To black homeowners, check it out
To black homeowners, take over and throw the lease out
This that movie reel, the Jordan Peele of this thing low-key
Boss shyt, pull the strings behind the scenes

I love how he comes onto “30.” When he said “I turn blocks to beaches” I immediately thought of that photo where he’s chilling in a beach/lawn chair in the middle of the sidewalk in QB. Then also thinking about how when a city gets nuked everything is vaporized. Simple line but just some ill imagery.

Yes Yes Yes... The Sun thing, I was saying to myself, refers to himself.

Quick fact. I didnt know Nas doesnt use Ill Will music for publishing anymore. Its "Sun Shining" now
