Even Joe Budden and em went that extra mile for once to praise Nas and the album. Wasn't even no slick shots or jokes here and there like they usually do. It's no doubt a classic :myman:

I called it day of that we might needa have that discussion of Nas holy trinity of Illmatic, IWW, TLT bein broken and I'm still feelin we might got to :lupe:

How many artists not even just rappers but artists but a whole have had an Illmatic and IWW on they catalog b2b... Then over 25 years later put out another classic on this level...

This some Miles Davis shyt y'all..... Signed to Columbia at 19 in the 90s dropped a genre defining historic musical achievement he was penning since his late teens and at 49 got a classic one of the best albums of the year and will go down as one of the best of this era..... The 2020s. WTF.

KD3 is next level shyt. I didn’t want to overhype it after the first listen but this shyt ain’t left my speakers. It’s a perfect album. This is special.

And Joe Budden and them giving it props was good to see. They was buggin when they said they wanted Nas to leave the planet like Jay and Andre has on them guest verses. Nas did that on Michael and Quincy. He blacked on that joint. But it’s still good to see em give it props.

Dope to see younger guys like Fivio and Kodak push back against what 21 was saying. Everyone’s trying to make this a generational thing when in reality 21 was just straight up hating.

He just released the biggest rap album of the year but it’s being panned by critics and Drake haters (unfairly imo, it’s actually a good album). Probably went online and saw everyone praising KD3, then went on Clubhouse and they’re doing the same. I guess breh had enough by that point and lashed out.

All this talk about sales but at the end of the day even mainstream artists want props for making dope music.

i can't front i'm not a huge fan of the WTF SMH whole scheme. it's alright but the beat, Nas' verses and the second part of the song more than make up for it.

Reminisce though is flawless.
we opposite on this. loved WTF SMH from 1st listen and think its one of the highs on the album. Reminisce for me aint cracking top 12 of my favs of this album. :hubie:

It was the same with Lauryn verse. Jay, Andre, Lauryn they don't be makin albums no more. They have more time outside of rap so when they drop they got more shyt to say, fans magnify they shyt more, the longer verses so it get hyped more. We heard Jay on 4:44 and Written Testimony and he was rappin great but not "leavin planet" type shyt. It was like Kyrie last year when he had the vaccine issue. He was playin like once a week at a point without vaccine and droppin 40 or 50 or 60pt games then back on a regular schedule he was still great but same ol. And Nas do got "leavin the planet" verses when he been inactive and we ain't heard from him in a min like on Triple Beam Dreams on Rick Ross joint.

In my opinion Nas left earth on Legit, Thun, and Michael & Quincy.

Again Budden only said that in order to give Jay-Z SOME points because he’s truly scared to go ahead and call KD3 an all tike classic, because if he did THAT he’s acknowledging Nas is the GOAT

Exactly. I'll cut Joe some slack though because I get it. If it was Jay that was going on this run instead, I'd be holding on to LIG and Echo for dear life too.
