Not sure when I first heard Nas, but it absolutely was because of my older brother and it was either IF I RULED THE WORLD or STREET DREAMS.

I was around 10 years old when IWW dropped and my bro was just recording YO MTV RAPS and replaying the Nas videos over and over. I remember him getting the album too.

I AM Is when I consciously sat down to listen to the album, I fukking loved IWW so I AM was a bit too different for me at first but I asked my bro which songs were playing in the intro and he was like " :wtf: that's Illmatic I've been playing that around you". Thing is I didn't realize (11/12 years old) that Illmatic and IWW were both by Nas :russ:

Pac was still my GOAT for quite some time but Nas was easily my second favorite, I think I really GOATed him after Gods Son - to me that's the album where he gave me the same feels (pause) that Pac gave me. And he been proving his GOATness ever since.

Nas
Pac
Prodigy
Cube
Gza

That's been my top 5 since like 11 years old, Nas and Pac just switched spots at some point.

on a side not why nikkas talking about ye..granted, the last hot album he produced was for pusha t. however , he still really hasnt produced hot shyt consistently in YEARS....his best days are ova

he's also too volatile for someone for nas

2010 was the last time I felt like Kanye was an elite producer. Since then, it's like he's just been there. And no, I don't see Kanye as a producer in the sense that I see Dre or a Timbaland because even if there are co-producers, you can still hear their signature drum work.

Even with Daytona, while dope, the production is dope because it sounds like 2002-2004 Kanye. With, It's Almost Dry, I'm still scratching my head that people even thought that Kanye's production on that album was better than The Neptunes. Pusha T naturally sounds better over The Neptunes production than he does anyone else's.

Personally thought Donda 1 was a return to form for Ye. Loads of great songs on that record. Donda 2 however, was shyt.

Just went through that Nasir album thread, all you goofies praised that song

All y’all nikkaz is full of shyt :mjlol:

Board got legit psychopaths

Adam & Eve is a dope song, prolly the best one on Nasir. But I don't see how it's levels above some of HB's best beats on the four albums like how you're making it out to be. It's a pretty simple piano loop beat and the tracks where HB is throwing in crazy beat switches and variation are better. No one is saying HB is the greatest producer to ever live, he's got some beats that don't hit for me, but with these Nas albums, the Benny album, etc. he's more than proved he's a super talented cat.
