Did you listen to 2000? Phenomenal album.

Of course I did. Its extremely enjoyable.

MAYBE top 5 of the year. I’d have to run it back against JID’s album.

In NO WAY shape form or fashion is 2000 fukking with KD3. Hit-Boy’s production is on an entirely different level and Nas is Nas. Joey on his BEST day can’t touch Nas lyrically. Joey doesn’t have a Legit, Thun, or Beef in him as an artist

The majority of the beats on this Nas album sound like old backpacker beats:what:.... "I'm on fire" and "reminisce" sound like some shyt Kanye made when he was 16.

"Recession proof" sounds like some shyt black moon woulda rapped over in 92. And I actually like that beat.

You know damn well I'm not talking about that kind of "backpack":comeon: The OG back pack was basically hood mainstream that didn't fully crossover. When I say "backpack" in the modern sense I'm really talking about the 2000s sh1t that came after the late 90s Rawkus records era.

Name a better beat on any of these releases
I'm not even a numbers guy but the shyt is at 34 million plays on Spotify right now :hubie:, the shyt is heat.

"Adam & Eve" was the best song on Nasir, but as a stand alone beat, there's a lot of beats from the KD series and Magic that are far better.

Why is there even a notion that Kanye would somehow done a better job? Hit Boy had been better than Kanye for years. In fact, a lot of his beats sound like beats that people have been wishing for Kanye to make for years. Tracks like "Nas Is Good" from KD2 and "Legit" from KD3 showcase that.
