Store Run sounds like it might be a storytelling song

Death Row East and 40 Side def gonna be street joints

My Bible got me interested too...my guess is its gonna be about hip-hop history. Or just Nas philosophy on life? Keeps reminding me of that line off War Against Love (my fav joint off LT2) "No religion, my commandments are my standards", maybe he'll expand on that

I'm hoping for some concepts and story telling on here. I think KD1 was a great mainstream return to form for Nas. Nothing was inaccessible, the beats were all very clean and polished, but it didn't go beneath the surface for me. Hopefully there's a bit more grit and experimentation on here. I'm excited to hear what Lauryn and Em do on their features
I don’t think Nas is in that kinda headspace anymore to make crazy concept records or storytelling

As he’s gotten older and more mature his content has become more personable & less aloof ghetto thug poet which shows growth but also kinda shifts away from what made Nas GOAT.

Life Is Good was probably the greatest combination of the street poet Nas and mature aging Nas

I have a feeling this album will be closer to vintage Nas than the first King’s Disease album tho

Production was definitely solid throughout. It's an easy play through. But no beats that could stand among nas's best work. Or even hitboys. And that's what I'm hoping for on this one. First one seemed like they were just trying to make the most accessible album possible.
:gucci:Blue Benz,, Ultra Black, Car 85, and The Cure beats doesn't sound like they can stand among Nas's best work?

Nas, maybe AZ. And now....

There’s a video of a boogie on YouTube talking about how Nas is one of his favorites and how he liked “I can”

Eminem has been giving Nas mad love on interviews / verses

YG is managed by Anthony Saleh too? Or na

Lauryn Hill collab is getting everyone excited

He used to manage him.

Nas best work is on different level than those. I love those songs but be serious breh
Some of his best work is God tier level, those are level A+ to A- range, mind you this is coming in year 27 of his career. Ultra Black sounds like something 04-05 Kanye would've made, same as Car 85, sound like The Goodlife. The Cure is a top 3-5 album ending song in Nas catalog.

Hell nah. They're dope songs but let's be real here. The 2nd half of cure is what I'm looking for from Nas. By far the best part of the album cause it was the type of beat that Nas shines on...gritty east coast shyt. Most of the beats were safe run of the mill shyt I could hear on any new Dom Kennedy mixtape. Like I said. They wanted to make an easy digestible album and they succeeded. But wanna see em get out of their comfort zone for this one.
