Hoping this one goes harder than the last. First one was dope but too safe for me. Then it became the official soundtrack of the NBA playoffs. It was basically a Nas album the whole family can enjoy. fukk all that. I wanna hear Nas floating on some bangers again. Don't mind some commercial tracks too but would like some more balance. More shyt like Full Circle and I'll be happy. Hitboy is dope but the production on his solo album was way better than kings disease.
Gimmie Nas over shyt like this and we might get a classic
Nah fam...KD1 production was on point:whoa:

Production was definitely solid throughout. It's an easy play through. But no beats that could stand among nas's best work. Or even hitboys. And that's what I'm hoping for on this one. First one seemed like they were just trying to make the most accessible album possible.

I'm hoping for some concepts and story telling on here. I think KD1 was a great mainstream return to form for Nas. Nothing was inaccessible, the beats were all very clean and polished, but it didn't go beneath the surface for me. Hopefully there's a bit more grit and experimentation on here. I'm excited to hear what Lauryn and Em do on their features
