best reaction I’ve seen. Guy caught the Holy Ghost a few times listening

btw how ridiculous is Nas’ flow and cadence on the first beat on Rare. It’s a pretty hard beat to rhyme over and he does it effortlessly

One thing I keep coming back to: On the first part of Rare, the sample and bassline and rhymes are double time, but the drums sound like a traditional breakbeat. It seems like something that shouldn't work, but it does.

Full version of the Apple Rap Life interview that someone uploaded

At 8:00 he points out how on the 2nd song on KD1 (Blue Benz) he's reflecting on the Tunnel days. Then on KD2 the 2nd song is Death Row East. I wonder if there's any other parallels with the sequencing? I know Hitboy chopped Nas Is Good in a similar way as the 2nd half of The Cure.

U mistaking me for being pissed off. I’m not. I don’t appreciate that goofy shyt nikkas tryna pull in the thread tho. Talkin bout my review of the Ye album has to do with Nas and anyone who knows my history on this site knows I keep it 100 when it comes to Ye. Good or bad. I was just saying how Ye would wash Drizzy in a Verzuz a couple weeks back. But I will also call out the fact that he moves like a dikkhead and his “genius” is overrated. 2nd half of his career anyway.

Yeah... I realized a long time ago that some people aren't blessed with the ability to distinguish between what's great and what's mediocre. I'm not here to help them figure it out either. I just keep it moving.

Honestly, Eminem’s verse on "EPMD 2" is fukking hilarious now. He still ruined the song, but now, I can't stop laughing. He was on some troll shyt with his verse. :russ:

"EPMD, we're back in business, living in cramped conditions, we'll give you ammunition. :troll: "

Why does he rap like that on all of his features? That damn enunciation. :dead:

Inspired by a recent Coli thread I listened to Chronic 2001 today and was reminded his flow used to be crazy. How the hell he go from Forgot About Dre to this :scust:

Track still hits before he shows up though
