I simply chalk it up to three reasons:

1) Some ppl don’t like Trap beats

2) Some ppl prolly feel uncomfortable hearing NaS on a Trap beat

3) Some ppl may lowkey be mad as hell that NaS can ride a Trap beat more effortlessly without coming off :flabbynsick: unlike their favorite living 90’s rap artist.
That sounds 100 percent accurate. It's no way you can hear that song and say nah that's wack Haha

For real, for real, like can you imagine Nas on a Migos beat? :banderas: or Lil Uzi on a Preemo beat? :mindblown:

A lot of those songs posters say they don’t like are amongst my favorites. Sekou Story/Live Now is an incredible two part story telling saga. Who Killed It is incredible conceptually in my opinion and I listen to it all the time. Untitled is one Nas’s most important albums and the best of 2008.

Nas wouldn’t be Nas without these songs in his discography. Its what sets him apart. Makes him special and unlike any MC there’s ever been or will be. The only rapper as conceptually fearless as Nas is Lupe Fiasco, which is why Nas said he reminds him of himself.

I agree. When people here and on other places were talking about Nas rapping as a woman, I was like :patrice: because I didn't know what to expect. I put off listening to Street's Disciple for a while because everybody considered it :trash: whenever it was talked about. Then I heard "Sekou Story" and "Live Now" and I'm like, "What's the big deal?" Scarlett sounded like an average female New York rapper. And he used studio tricks to pitch his voice up, it's not like he just rapped in a woman's voice when he recorded it. :bryan:

I also think "Who Killed It?" would have gotten a better reception if Nas didn't use the detective accent, because the writing and production is 5/5. And I'm glad to see that Untitled has more of a cult following now. Myke from Dead End Hip Hop always mentions it as one of his favorite Nas albums, because you get to see all these different sides to Nas. And I agree. The songs on Untitled have this uniqueness to them in terms of sound. You can tell it was made in 2007/2008, but it doesn't sound dated at all and it was an album that was ahead of its time when you realize where hip hop was when it came out.

I'm really hoping that a lot of people revisit his discography because the narrative attached to it is unbelievably false for so many reasons.
