i didn't read the review but I heard him speak on it on a podcast. Dude is actually a huge Nas fan with a pretty good understanding of his catalog (he thinks Nas is the goat by a wide margin). But like a lot of people in this thread he loved KD2 so much he immediately started downgrading some of the previous releases. Just flawed/misguided logic imo.

On the podcast I thought he had some interesting takes on the album though.

No life is good slander will be tolerated. But I rock with that dude though. Life is Good a Classic right alongside Kd 1 and KD2

The I AM slander wont be tolerated either. I swear I never heard anybody hate on I am until recently online. That album has a max 2 misses. Where did the downplay of i am come from.

It's a dope album...nothing more, IMO of course. I think yall overrate it too but yall overrate everything Nas does so at least with LIG you're overrating something that's actually dope, lol. Not you specifically, speaking generally. Illmatic, Stillmatic, KD2, IWW, LT1, KD1 all >>>>>> to me, easy.

I don't overrate anything he legit to me has 3 albums I barely listen to SD HHID Nasir, LIG is better than KD1

It has more than 2 but the point is understood people who grew up in my hood fukked with it when it came out . The narrative came around when u know who said what he said

I agree LIG is overrated no doubt, and it's not better than God's Son either.

But it's definitely better than KD1
