"Yeah boy, yeah boy! :ahh:"

Been playing this straight since it dropped - Car, gym, whilst I work, chilling etc etc. I'm so impressed with this album, I knew it would be good regardless... but this album is legit great. Even my girl is bumping this lol, the last Nas album she was bumping consistently was Stillmatic.

Hoping to see some more videos. I don't think I'll see any live shows in the UK due to COVID.

I'm just really really enjoying this album :wow:

You know what. That's interesting because that's a all nother subject. About how an artist like any enterprise or athlete can be defended by a lobby. Behind the beehives or the barbz you get in fact a protection you can really influenced an artist business and therefore money.
Beyonce gets away with a lot of shyts because the fans and médias are behind her. Jay got a show called takeover because hot 97 was fully behind Jay Z and they tried to steer off the narrative
That pitchfork writer would have never shyt on an Kanye or jay z project even if musically the project is bad just because these artists can pull the plugs on them (blackball them to go to big events and whatnot). That's how they swept Grammys by apply media pressure
Nas didn't really played the media game like that so maybe it's time to show white media nas have to be threaded like a big dog. And I'm not saying kissing his ass but being more respectful of his art.
The only thing I condemn is the physical slander and insults on the man. Only judge the work. And the media he's working with

The last thing I would want to see is Nas fans become the type of insufferable, self entitled type of fans that the Beyhive and the Barbz are. That ain't healthy.

I'm just gonna leave this here:

^^^ Nas made this statement for a reason.

Crazy juxtaposition that I noticed.

Kings Disease 1 is a perfect NIGHT album. Songs like Kings Disease, Blue Benz, Car 85, Full Circle, and The Cure are joints that go hard in the whip after a long day of work or just cruising the city with a chick.

In contrast. Kings Disease 2 is an excellent DAY album. Songs like The Pressure, Death Row East, Store Run, and Composure all go hard when your working out, lifting weights, jogging in the sunshine, or performing mostly daytime activities.

I don’t know if Hit Boy and Nas specifically set out to accomplish that duality but its pretty cool

Nas is Like made up for all the misses on that album...that song is so iconic :wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::mjgrin::wow::wow::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::to::to::to::ohlawd::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh:

I Am... is such a strange album because half of it is legitimately classic, some of the best music Nas has ever made in his career. And the other half of it is just......there. You can tell which songs were always meant to be on the album and which songs were recorded quickly to meet the deadline.

I know the original track list doesn't exist, or it was just never revealed so we'll never know what it was supposed to be. But I honestly believe that the original I Am... would have been the GOAT hip hop album, eclipsed Illmatic and cemented Nas' legacy years ahead of time.
