That title could go to Pressure,Nas Is Good, Composure, Store Run, My Bible etc. that’s how good this album is.
Casual

none of those songs you mentioned switches beat like rare does

and that’s why it gets compare to the cure..because of the beat change

It's really up to them to maintain the rating

The last dude that did the RS review called it the most misogynistic album of all time, and all Nas did was show women love :francis:

That writer wanted to use that review as a come up off Nas name. That review got more traction than it deserved. The writer even made it obvious that he was clout chasing.

He was. He was kekeing all on Twitter about it and kept egging everyone on HHT about it. Journalism is dead lol

I think twitter went straight in that CACs ass. That whole thing read like it was written by an intern with an agenda.

Rolling Stone never pretended to know hip hop. They sort of always knew they didn’t know shyt

pitchfork I hate as they come with this arrogance that they know hip hop when they’re the types that only got into hip hop post Kanye and don’t know real MCing, the culture

what also I’ve noticed is modern non hip hop culture critics look down on rapping that floats between different subject matters in a verse and prefer where it sticks to a certain subject matter not understanding the free form nature of hip hop rhyming
