Not saying he’d listen but Hit Boy I think defo takes inspiration from the convos happening

like I can imagine Hit Boy saw Nas answer the question on Hot 97 about the Bryant park incident. Had idea of a west coast beat and suggested it to Nas. Not saying that happened but get feeling Hitboy works like that

like how he just suggested hitting up Mega to Nas when it was just Nas and Az at first
That's totally what happens. I can't remember where I heard but from KD1 interviews with Hitboy, he says he spitballs shyt to Nas based on conversations. They just experiment and try it out. I think Hitboy gives Nas time and space to create and Hitboy works around and decorates it all perfectly. Hitboy is my new favorite.

Just a guess - the streaming numbers may have been better on KD1 with the shorter songs / album

The reception from the fans is more with KD2 though (KD1 had amazing reception as well)

Kings Disease OG only got 9 critic reviews. With the relative death of The Source and XXL there’s no authentic entity to relay trustworthy reviews (unless you count HipHopDX) so we’re still waiting on Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Consequence Of Sound to round out the “white man’s opinion” on the album.

If this is the same Consequence of Sound, they've already dropped a positive review:

I hope Nas never works with any of these boom nap nikkas ever again just to spite these nikkas that keep regurgitating this narrative :pachaha: can't believe I keep seeing folk say this man

Lowkey me either. Except Premier because Premier mostly shows love and for the most part doesn’t act like Nas owes him anything

U think this one gonna sell less or more than KD1? I coulda SWORE the first one was gonna have better numbers than it did.

I did too. Lol I was convinced he was doing 100k last year.

I think he’ll sell more. The word of mouth surrounding this is excellent. I have people in my phone who barely listen to Nas texting me and calling this a classic and Nas The GOAT, which I didn’t get last year.

Plus he’s got Eminem on the album and his stanbase is running up the streaming on the song as its currently the most listened to song from the album on Youtube.

Like I said earlier super optimistic estimates would be 65k. Realistic estimates would be 50-55.
