Given how classic this album do you think Nas team are doing enough promo wise? I wouldn’t know either way but it really is an album that deserves mass attention on the level of Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Good Kid In A Maad City, Aquemini Love and Below and other heralded albums that have transcended rap.
i hope he goes on a press run

Or drop a video of EPMD2 with Eminem in it:mjgrin:

on social media it definitely seems quieter than KD1. Not seeing as many people like Diddy, Swizz etc promote this one. Just generally feels more subdued compared to the push KD1 got.

It’s crazy cause while it’s more subdued by celebrities. I think it’s gettin more consensus love if that makes any sense to u. Like it’s less people hating on it. Gettin reviewed better. And from what it seems it’s even doing better commercially. I don’t understand why Swizz or none of them showing love ESPECIALLY after that solid Nas did for him and DMX earlier in the year but it’s whatever.

Swizz has dropped fire emojis in response to Hitboy and Nas posts on instagram. Same with Busta.

Their doing PLENTY of promo across social media. Kings Disease OG got the boast of being the official soundtrack of the NBA Playoffs but of course thats all done now.

The video for Rare has already surpassed 1 Million views. He’s number 1 across all streaming platforms.

The only other thing that could be done is media run, which he did for Kings Disease OG but seems to have skipped this time around

I agree. I feel like this is different than his last release. For KD1 I think people were expecting the worst from Hitboy and then pleasantly surprised when they dropped a dope album that could actually add on to Nas's legacy.

For KD2, it feels like a lot of people are kinda quietly coming to the realization that Nas might've dropped an instant classic.

Yeh I think word of mouth and fans talking doing a lot. Critic reviews only at 4. I think you or someone said some albums don’t get that many reviewing. Seems crazy as 2 of the 4 so far UK websites not even US. Perhaps if Nas hits number 1 for the week it will get more critic reviews and therefore more plays/ promotion

this album deserves the word spread of how good it is (even if I think most critics terrible 90% of the time)
