Naw I'm a hip.hop head first! That's the difference between me and y'all cats. I'm from that era 88-96 when you don't dikk ride and spoke the truth when it came to hip hop, so it might be a shock to y'all, but I'm from that era when male groupies got frowned on.

I'm from the era when you let the dead rest, don't bring negative energy and evil spirits back, The same thing Nas raps about. Didn't Nas once said Now Evil Spirit's Begone? Now why you bringing up something that 5 people lost their lives, that fukked with people mind. Look what it done to Biggie Smalls listen to Life After Death you can literally feel the anxiety nervousness sadness paranoia on the whole album

I'm a Pac fan and I can say some shyt he said to Biggie wasn't called for but it's War

You see I'm a hip hop head first, fan 2nd

I said my Peace let's keep it moving Nas is Number 2 on my GOAT list, he's Number 3 on my personal favorite Emcee but he's a Man, he's not my Idol, he's not my God, he's not my father I can critique if you nikkas don't like it well fukk You Too because I know for a fact Nas stay away from nikkas like y'all, weird Stan nikkas. Look how he didn't answer Lupe Fiasco phone call when he asked him to do an album on Ill Will, or how he did Blu, didn't Nas told Nature he's not his father be a Man stand on his own? :russ:

Y'all crazy:pachaha: King Disease 2 was a dope album, I enjoyed it it's not better than King Disease 1 in my humble opinion, Great Victory Lap from one of the greatest
all that to say that the Pac song is why you don't like the album

"bringing back dead spirits blah blah"

:laff:

you a stan breh. know yourself. such a pac stan that you checked out on the second song and couldn't enjoy the album. Nas didn't even diss pac or anything he touched on a subject that is constantly brought up finally and you mad about it.

what's the competition for #1 album spot?
It'll be Billie Eilish's second week out. She did 235k first week and will do at least 80k second week. Then you have Olivia Rodrigo who is doing 65-70k weekly still, and Doja Cat who is doing 50-55k weekly. I think he'll come in at 4, with 40-50k first week. The Em feature is def a wildcard that could up the streams. Older artists tend to do more physical sales than streams, which in this case gets you around 40-50k IMO. We'll see.

Drove around for the first time listening today, doing errands. This shyt knocks...and it just sounds good. I prob ran Store Run back 5-6 times while driving around lol.

Brehs, a NAS album is always a special moment to me. I've learned English through Nas lyrics. I remember getting It Was Written in 96. Reading the booklet, going to a library to find meaning of his rhymes.
Life is Good in 2012 got me through a divorce, around the exact time.
25 years later, breh is still flawless. Hitting you with crazy lines. I think sometimes, we are taking Nas for granted. Rappers from his generation are completely washed.
I love KD I. When they announced KD II last week, I was like no way. Nas has been dropping heat for 4 years straight:wow: after been quiet after LIG
Breh is simply the GOAT.:mjcry:

Man the bytch in you is very strong, if nobody ever told you this let me be the first, you a hoe, because one thing that hoes do is they like to put words in people mouth, that's a feminine trait that you have.

Never once I said I checked out after the 2nd song, I listened to the whole album and after I went and played abstract Mindstate album now as I left the gym is at home playing King Disease 2 for a 2nd time.

See hoe nikka stop acting like a bytch, and also Ms Thang nobody in this thread said Nas diss Pac, you male groupies are delusional go get a father figure and be a Man, stop the hoe shyt, stop putting words in people mouth that's school girl on the playground shyt.

I said my Peace you said yours let keep it moving and remember Nas is not your father

@Nat King Krueger IMO, KD1 & 2 easily makeup for SD-HHID-Unt era

It’s not easy for an “elder statesmen” to get into his bag at this stage of his career. Only a handful of MCs have done it (Face, Ghost, Cube, & HOV).
SD was a great album to me:manny:

It seems like the albums where Nas speaks on the deepest subjects fans like least :patrice:

Like SD and the Untitled albums

Which both are high favorites of mine:mjcry:

Pete Rock sadly has morphed into a bozo.

:francis:

Wtf ... if this is a shot at Hitboy this is crazy.

As much as I love Pete Rock .. Premo .. all the producers from that era. Lets keep it real ... they havent gone beyond chopping a sample and laying drums over it .. thats as far as their musical talent goes.

My favourite producers of all time ... RZA .. Alc ... Madlib ... Their best shyt of all time is from samples and layering a drum over it ... but a lot of them went on to do amazing things in the scene.

Pete Rock stayed being the old head that just chops samples over drums and never changed.

How can he even say that shyt when he never even produced a full nas album. Hes acting like he knew what Illmatic was gonna be when he put that beat forward/

They all want to be the ones who get to produce a full Nas album. And to an extent I can't blame them for that, what producer wouldn't want to produce for Nas? But that doesn't mean you gotta hate on the producer who got the gig...and to say the album has no soul is just ridiculous. How do you listen to these beats and say they are soulless? Jealousy is a motherfukker.

that's exactly why he wasn't on his albums after illmatic. he did the same shyt when it was written came out.

Nas gave him a shot again and the people were not vibing with his shyt as much even though I liked their shyt on lost tapes 2. now he's back to dissing again.

some people never learn

Kings Disease did 47k

this will get more on the strength of the mainstream coverage, reviews, Eminem & Lauryn Hill feature
