Yooo what’s good bro what ya PC set up looking like right now my guy?
I’m still rocking my 2080ti water cooled setup. I don’t want to break it down to add new equipment :russ:

I’m 100% building a new water-cooled setup with the 4000 RTX cards in the future though, whenever they come out. What is you setup like now?

I noticed this album getting way more mainstream promo/buzz than last year.

wouldnt shock me if this did 100k.

To do 100K nowadays you need strong streaming numbers. The fact that the album is number 1 on Apple Music/Amazon is excellent. I haven’t seen Spotify charts but if its number 1 on Spotify that bodes well too.

Fans have actual streaming parties on social media to run the numbers up for their favorite artists. I follow a few nas fan accounts on instagram and they were doing something similar last night.

Nas and his team also did a good thing by releasing the Rare video in conjunction with the album release as I believe the video streams count towards the album sales. EPMD with Eminem and his rabid fanbase doesn’t hurt either. Also the fact that this is the first time we’ve heard Lauryn Hill rap in SEVENTEEN YEARS has people excited

The word of mouth has also been INCREDIBLE. I’ve got people in my phone who are lifelong Hov & Kanye stans hitting me up saying “Nas is the GOAT”. This is an album where the QUALITY is being appreciated.

Nas and his team should be commended for making this a true EVENT album even without a lot of hype. He didn’t need a Mercedes Benz Stadium extravaganza. He didn’t need a cell phone company to buy a million copies to ensure a Platinum plaque BEFORE release. He didn’t need to twerk on the devil. He didn’t need to reposes his girlfriend’s car. He didn’t need promote whoredom as empowerment.

Its LITERALLY off the strength of the music

I’m still rocking my 2080ti as well. I decided against the 3080 series all together. I had my hands on a 3080 but I ended up returning it cause I wanted more VRAM. I was gonna wait for the 3080ti but that shyt ended up being a waste of time cause it’s the same price currently as the 3090 was from jump. I should’ve copped the 3090 when I had a chance but it is what it is at this point.

I can’t lie I kinda wish Nas had a Jay feature on here.

Seeing this post now, I realize that Jay-Z would have been perfect on "EPMD 2." He should have taken Eminem's place.

Another problem with the song is that it didn't fit Eminem. You want something hard, something fly, something arrogant. Eminem can't give you that because he doesn't have that coolness about him anymore. But Jay still does. When he brags, you take him seriously, and it would have been the Nas/Jay collaboration people wanted from "Sorry Not Sorry."

I'm playing back his "Bath Salts" verse in my head and it would have sounded great. Not the content, but the flow/cadence would work.

@Nat King Krueger IMO, KD1 & 2 easily makeup for SD-HHID-Unt era

It’s not easy for an “elder statesmen” to get into his bag at this stage of his career. Only a handful of MCs have done it (Face, Ghost, Cube, & HOV).

I’m REALLY mad he didn’t get Jay on 27 Summers last album. Or atleast Drizzy but I understand the theme wouldn’t have fit him.

Most people didn’t actually read what I wrote regarding the producers.

I said Alchemist is really just a vanilla Madlib and I stand by that.

now don't be disrespectful, I like madlib, he is not touching alc catalogue

I agree with the rest, I would like nas to do a third part to kd but if he chose different producers 2 or 3 from alc could be a great thing, 1 or 2 from primo and large pro too. and if he don't so be it

Streets Disciple ain't that bad.

Completely forgettable.

HHID was about 2/3 great and 1/3 meh to ass, I think to this day Untitled is mostly fantastic AS IS Distant Relatives. That shyt during the pandemic and George Floyd hit some emotional nerves I forgot I had.
