That fukking monk prayer sample on Count Me In is hypnotizing. Then the way Hit Boy layers it with the triple bass pattern is fukking bananas!!!!

Fireworks every time I turn an album in
When it ain't even July, I got it hot again
Majority on a profit split
We winnin' winter to winter
Q-boro don't get hit up
Get through any situation, my nikka, chest out, chin up

Are we still at 98 metacritic

yeh/ still no new critic reviews in. still at 4.

the flows on Rare just ridiculous. The first beat so good but hard beat to ride but Nas does it beautifully.

Also the video fits the song perfectly. Chess scene with the second beat nice

this should have been the album cover:

slightly better IMO, and the first one is great:ahh:
Its better by a wide margin IMO

It's better. Beats are more dynamic, flows are better. Both were strong lyrically, pretty much equal. There's a symmetry between both, with Nas embracing that OG role again and giving out jewels without sounding like he's preaching or looking down on anyone. That shyt like 10 Points and The Cure from KD1 especially...straight gems. Too early for numbers and rankings but this shyt immediately feels better than KD1 and even Life Is Good.

This is also the happiest Nas has sounded in a minute to me. No Phony Love doesn't have that biting anger that you heard on some of the ladies tracks on LIG or KD. He's looking past Kelis and these other chicks. Man on a mission shyt.

yall wasn't lying :wow:
