KD1 was a play through for me no skips this may have had higher highs tho

Y’all need to chill and maybe run back both albums

There’s nothing mindblowingly lyrical on this and his flow is off at points the production is immaculate though

Nas sounds good on this type of tempo, stillmatic and gods son was at this same speed he gets off his best multi syllables at this rythm you could tell hitboy (a millennial) came up off those albums

He’s not rapping at the same pace as those albums tho

This album is far superior to King's Disease I. I always felt the first one is exactly how they described their process behind the scenes. Nas and Hit-Boy facetiming each other during quarantine and Hit-Boy randomly was sending beats, Nas send back the tracks with his rhymes and bit by bit they suddenly had an album worth of songs and said, "fucckit, let's release it". And that's what the first album felt like, a bunch of songs just thrown together. It felt rushed and basic. And even though they won a Grammy (which I feel it was more for Nas legacy than anything), they wanted to prove themselves how it would of sounded if they were just merely fuccking around. This album felt complete and both put in their A game to it. Album of the summer for me as of right now.

KD1 had higher highs but this one is a smoother listen

i seriously don't understand how people are saying KD1 is better. i don't even remember half the songs on that album nor the production being this GOOD. not saying that its a bad album but this definitely has way better highs and its just way more consistent all the way thru.
