A white man just wrote in reference to Ultra Black that Nas focus on race is unhealthy.. Man this cracker should be hanged from a tree for talking this reckless.

What's worse is he misquotes the line that made him voice that critique. Nas says "African Black Soap caress the flesh", not African black so, caress the flesh. Big difference. He's not demanding to be worshipped solely because of his skin color, he's talking about taking a goddamn shower

Dude got so focused on railing against Nas for being a venture capitalist that he let that cloud his judgement of his music and even his stated intentions in the music.


As a fellow leftie, he should have just said "These beats are ass, Viva La Revolucion!" and called it a day.

That was one of the most visually powerful music videos I can remember, especially for a hip-hop song. That before and after image of the oxygen tank with nobody wearing it signifying the elder had died almost brings tears to my eyes cuz it's so real. shyt still resonates with me and I haven't seen that video in years.
