Nas is never going to be a critical darling again and a lot of reviews will bring up Kelis. Those are facts you have to deal with. If you love the album why do you care what reviews have to say? It’s clearly been well received, people like it, and I suspect that hip hop centered sites will give it good reviews. XXL, Hip Hop DX, DEHH, etc.

I knew this was coming when multiple “culture” folks on twitter completely ignored the album’s release. Not a single tweet or mention. It’s obvious what’s going on and it’s clearly about Kelis. Who cares, fukk em.
These critics could give 2 fukks about Kelis. These haters are just using her as another excuse to hate on Nas. Nas has stated he was never a media/music critic favorite. Those of you who are making this about his ex are just as bad. Nas never kissed ass, cared or worried about what these haters think about him personally or professionally. King’s Disease is a dope album for his haters. Like he said a lot of people in this so called industry is Upset that Nas is so successful. It infuriates them that his success is bc of doing what he felt throughout his career. Nas will continue to succeed abundantly and make music for whoever cares to listen this is his gift and he is GRATEFUL for this amazing journey that God continues to bless him with.

Pitchfork critic has no legitimacy. Fact they thought the 10 brehs outside the projects were all trying to get the girl rather than just guys hanging out in the projects that you might get into an altercation with as Nas not from that hood shows he doesn’t know shyt about hip hop and where it came from

It’s absolutely crazy how these people can flip anything, everyone who grew up like us knew what Nas meant when he said that, these out of touch white hipsters need to stop reviewing hip hop.

My wife grew up in the PJs. When I was dating her in HS, I felt this line. Lol. You can't write a review on hip hop when you don't even know what Nas is talking about. The reviewer couldn't at least check Rap Genius?

This right here. You can’t critique something you don’t understand.

Nas typically gets decent to good reviews though. Every bad review for this album has jumped out the gate talking about the abuse allegations, it’s clear what they’re trying to do. I don’t buy the idea that sites randomly hate on Nas because like I said, past albums were well received. If you drop a dud sure it’s gonna get bad reviews (Nasir) but overall his Metacritic record is solid on each album. They aren’t gonna let this go.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Does that mean we discredit their review of Life Is Good too?

Nas: Life Is Good
It’s a different person that reviews each album. Either way who gives a fukk at this point? The reviewer CLEARLY didn’t even understand the lyrics he was listening to and was out of touch and not qualified to be rating hip hop albums. Good or bad I never respected pitchfork. fukk them. Even if they gave him a 9.
