I wish Ryan Feyre chose a different time to show us his mastery of the English Language.
Dude sounds like such a dork. We get it bud, you went to college. But can you turn it down just a tad
You don't even need to see dude pic to know he's an uncool white kid from the burbs.
“All Bad attempts to paint Nas as this wounded lost lover, but much of what he says (particularly in the third verse) sounds like it was ghostwritten by Drake... His sentiment seems genuine, but no self-proclaimed “king” should be worrying about an unanswered text. No listener should care either, especially in this context.” I don’t even think he’s worth our time, sounds like it’s written by a guy whose never had p*ssy, or a relationship

Nah

We truly are forgetting about how acclaimed and celebrated Life Is Good was within the culture, the mainstream, and the critics. That album was getting JUST as much love as KD is getting now and i simply can’t BELIEVE that the collective conscious is trying to erase that.

Its like Nas isn’t allowed to have a classic album after Stillmatic. Hip Hop Is Dead was celebrated and acclaimed when it dropped and as soon as Untitled was announced the narrative was revised to “Hip Hop Is Dead was a disappointment”. Untitled got incredible reviews and was being used as a teaching tool for Professors in certain colleges. Then Distant Relatives was announced and the narrative was revised as “Untitled was unfocused and he put the best songs on The ****** Tape”. Then Life Is Good was announced and the narrative for DR was revised to “Nobody asked for a Nas/.Damien Marley album”

Now we’ve got King’s Disease and people want to act like the album was full of Summer On Smashes when it was a fukking masterpiece and EVERYONE loved it when it dropped

shyt is absurd

Maybe it's because of social media, but this album seems like its more relatable to people. LIG he was on some grown man shyt. This album has a little bit of everything, for anyone listening. I feel like any generation of fans can appreciate this album where as with LIG more older people were checking for it.

I rank this one just above LIG, and after Stillmatic.

I get the overlooking/forgetting album thing, even if I disagree. Life Is Good came out 8 years ago. That's a lot of time, in between which a loooot of stuff has happened in the industry. And this is Nas' first full length studio album since then. I can see some people forgetting LIG to a degree but if that's the case you gotta go back and revisit it. I did, a few days after King's Disease came out. I was so hyped on KD that I started wondering hold on, I fukked with LIG but...how much did I fukk with it again? Went back, played the album. I played some of it again today. Life Is Good is a GREAT album. Outside of Summer On Smash there are no misses, and you guys know I'm not a big fan of Reach Out. But even that record is cool, it's not bad or anything.

I feel like there are no misses on King's Disease. Which do I prefer...ehhh don't ask me right now lol. It just came out, I gotta live with it. If you're a Freddie Gibbs fan..it's like when Bandana came out last year and people immediately wanted to discuss whether it was better than Pinata. Pinata came out in 2014 lmao. I lived with that album for years. I can't say an album is better than it's predecessor after listening to it for less than a week.

But I will say this: I could definitely see myself ranking it above LIG. I can see myself ranking it above God's Son. We'll see. It's a great fukking album.
