my guess is a superproducer album. Nas definitely has a Swizz song. Nas can tap into a lot of networks and get whatever he wants especially after this project. I think everybody wanna see what Nas does with other producers and collabs.

Every Nas album is pretty much a “super producer” album. Hell Lost Tapes 2 had beats from Pharrell, Swizz, Kanye, RZA, Alchemist, Hit Boy and Pete Rock. Thats about as “Super” as it gets for production leaving out Timbaland and Just Blaze.

I think for Nas to get to the point where he’s super excited to the point of hyping up a “secret album” its MORE than a typical album. It would have to be something either pretty big or something people have been wanting for awhile.

The Firm kind of makes sense as that would be pretty big AND something people have been wanting for awhile. Nas/Hov makes sense as an event but doesn’t seem in the slightest bit realistic or likely.

Thats why i’m trying to think outside the box as it were. Nas once said he wanted to do an entire album with Premo and entire album with Dre and drop them on the same day. If he were to COMBINE that concept and do a double album that would be both a BIG event and something that people have been clamoring for decades (Nas/Preme)

It could also be Nas/AZ as Nas has talked about how happy he was working with AZ again and AZ’s pen and flow is as sharp as ever.

Also a dark horse suggestion might be a Nas album produced entirely by HAVOC. That aould certainly be a surprise

It is tho. Untitled is dope. LIG is fire. KD is better than both, to me...and the writer of this article.

Bullshyt. I will accept NO Untitled or Life Is Good slander just because KD is excellent doesn’t mean Nas hasn’t been making incredible albums all these years. That’s disrespectful as fukk and revisionist as all hell. Untitled was critically acclaimed when it dropped and Life Is Good was universally loved. We ain’t gonna act like those albums were a blip on the radar

I agree. Untitled, distant relatives and life is good are all elite bodies of work. That's a nonsense narrative saying it's his best since stillmatic. Those all great projects including kings disease. Lost tapes 2 is heavily slept on I dont care what anybody says.

:salute:Giving ode to Humpty with the coat and Just Ice with the hat.

:russ:

First thing I thought of when I seen it was "I wonder he's trying to pay homage to Just-Ice?" :jbhmm:

Video is dope and the song has grown on me a bit too. I never thought it was wack and I liked it the first few times, but I think it's a REALLY good track now.

The only thing I can think of, which is a stretch, is that he does an album with mostly famous guest appearances. It is probably unlikely but here is why I say this. He mentioned this once before while promoting the lost tapes 2 but he was referring to a future volume of LT.

I didn't read the article, but I'm assuming it sounds dismissive?

None of these reviews matter though. The type of people that write album reviews in 2020 usually aren't going to be able to do something like this justice. Nas has dropped a LOT of shyt over the years and most critics are gonna have a tough time putting it in context. They didnt sit with all these projects in real time like we did.
